David Bertke - June 2007 - May 2009
David is the Vice President, Managed Care for TriHealth and is
responsible for all contract negotiations with managed care companies, representing the hospitals, physicians, ancillary
companies and physician joint ventures. He has been an HFMA member for over thirty years and has received the William G.
Follmer Bronze Award and the Robert H. Reeves Silver Award. David is a Board member and also the co-chair of the HFMA
Program Committee. David is a native of Cincinnati and has worked in managed care on both the provider and insurance side
of healthcare for the past 35 years, including, in addition to TriHealth, Anthem, United Healthcare and the Health Alliance.
He has a bachelor’s degree in accounting and masters degree in management from Xavier University.

Rick Delewski - June 2008 - May 2010
Rick Delewski is Chief Financial Officer of the Greater Cincinnati Health Council. In addition to the financial
responsibilities of a CFO, Rick is responsible for the Council’s group purchasing program and daily operations.
Rick also has financial oversight responsibility for the Health Improvement Collaborative of Greater Cincinnati,
a Health Council subsidiary, and he is Secretary of the Hamilton County Hospital Commission.
Before joining the Council in 1996, Rick worked as a financial consultant. Prior to that, Rick worked for 14 years in
the Finance & Accounting organization for Procter & Gamble. The majority of Rick’s work at P&G was in the Health
Care Sector including assignments as Cost Accounting Manager for P&G’s North American pharmaceutical business and
Finance Manager for P&G Pharmaceuticals- Puerto Rico.
Rick is a volunteer at the Cincinnati Association for the Blind & Visually Impaired, and he serves on the Board of
Trustees and the Finance and Investment Committee at CABVI. Rick holds an MBA from the University of Chicago and a
B.A. in Economics from the University of Notre Dame.

Shawn Kent - June 2008 - May 2010
Shawn Kent is the Regional Director of Patient Financial Services at
Mercy Health Partners (MHP).
Mercy Health Partners is part of Catholic Healthcare Partners (CHP), and CHP is one of the largest not-for-profit health
systems in the United States and the largest in Ohio.
Mr. Kent was recruited as a member of the Revenue Cycle Management Team at Mercy to integrate revenue enhancement and
protection strategies, process improvement, and innovation into their Revenue Cycle Operations (RCO).
During his career, Mr. Kent has assumed various roles within Revenue Cycle Operations, and during this time led multiple
projects which were focused on optimizing revenue through RCO design/redesign.
Mr. Kent received both his Bachelors Degree, and Masters of Health Services Administration (MHSA) from Xavier University
in Cincinnati.

Danielle Lydon - June 2007 - May 2009
Danielle Lydon has 15 years in the health care field, including Hospital, Physician Practices, Pharmacy, and Insurance
experience across a wide and varied spectrum of service/performance areas. She has been involved in the creation, formation,
development, and operations of four health care service bureaus/companies since 1989: Electronic Claims Processing, Inc.,
ManagedCare Service Options, Inc., The Chicago MSO, Inc., MediSync Revenue Management LLC, and most recently has developed
a small consulting practice under the name of Miasys.
In addition to business skills, she has extensive IT application design and interface experience. These include the design
and development of a manufacturing EDI system and the designing and programming a number of applications to track/analyze the revenue cycle
and denial management process.
Danielle has also been involved in practice, physician development, administrative development for physician practices
operating in Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. This development included, though was not limited to: physician contracting,
practice setup, process design/redesign, computer bid/selection process, staff development/training, and development of
revenue cycle controls. Danielle continues to attend the University of Cincinnati and has completed Six Sigma Green Belt
training.

Sidonie Oakland - June 2008 - May 2010
Sidonie Oakland is Vice President, Managed Care for Prexus Health, LLC. She has 18 years of healthcare finance experience
in large multi-hospital healthcare systems. Her credentials include operational management of payer contracts, contract
negotiations with health plans on behalf of hospitals, physicians, & ancillaries, revenue cycle improvement, health plan
operations, and strategic planning. She also spent 7 years in medical research and has two professional research publications
as well as experience as a Physician’s Assistant in an Anatomic Pathology Laboratory. Sidonie has a B.S. in Biology and a
MBA from Bucknell University. Sidonie is a native Oklahoman and lives in Cincinnati, Ohio with her husband and children.

Michael Taylor - June 2007 - May 2009
Mike Taylor is Vice President, Revenue Cycle Management, for
Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, leading all aspects of revenue cycle management from contracting through
collections behalf of the hospital and its 500+ physicians. Mike has an extensive healthcare management background in
both the public and private sectors. A native of Illinois, Mike served in the administration of Governor Jim Thompson as
his health care policy advisor and later as the head of the largest department of state government, where he led the
development and implementation of one of the first public managed care programs in the nation. In the private sector,
Mike has served as the CEO/COO and marketing officer for the several national for-profit healthcare services companies,
including subsidiaries of The Upjohn Company and ARAMARK. Prior to joining Cincinnati Children’s, Mike served as
Executive Vice President for physician management services operations of Catholic HealthCare Partners, a multi-hospital
system headquartered in Cincinnati.
He has a BA from Southern Illinois University and an MBA from the University of Illinois. Mike and his wife live in
Cincinnati with their three children.

Carol Tenenholtz - June 2007 - May 2009
Carol Tenenholtz owns and manages Carol Tenenholtz, Inc., a
healthcare financial consulting firm. Carol Tenenholtz, Inc., founded six years ago, provides financial consulting
services including contract compliance, revenue enhancement, financial pro formas and budgeting tools. Her clients are
community hospitals and academic medical centers including their related physician group practices.
Prior to forming Carol Tenenholtz, Inc. she worked in the healthcare practices of the Chicago and Cincinnati offices of
Arthur Andersen for 16 years. Carol has a BS in Accounting from Indiana University and is a CPA. She was the Indiana
CPA examination gold-medal winner. She has been a member of HFMA since 1991. Currently, Carol serves as a director of
the Southwestern Ohio Chapter and is the co-chairperson for the Educational Forum. Carol has served on the HFMA
membership committee, was the co-chairperson of the ProAction! Committee and received the Follmer Bronze Award.

Jan Wooles - June 2008 - May 2010
Jan Wooles is the Controller/Director of Finance for the Kettering Health Network in Dayton, OH, a network of 5 hospitals that includes
Kettering Memorial, KMC-Sycamore, Grandview, Southview and Kettering Hospital Youth Services.
Jan is native to the Dayton area and received her BS in Accountancy from Wright State University in 1981. She spent 3 years
in public accounting as an auditor with Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young), where she worked with a number of not-for-profit
organizations, including several hospitals, and she earned her CPA. She joined Grandview Hospital in 1984. When the Grandview
and Kettering systems merged in 1999, she became Controller/Director of Finance for the Kettering Health Network. In this role,
Jan is responsible for overseeing financial reporting, general accouning, budgeting, decision support, payroll and accounts payable.
She is active in HFMA, serving on the Newsletter Committee, the May Institute Committee and the Education Committee. She has been
a member of HFMA since 1984 and has achieved the Fellowship designation in HFMA. She lives in Kettering with her husband.
