The most important role of our chapter leadership is to provide education to our members at the local level. The following forums have been
created to fulfill this role:
Each forum will concentrate its efforts primarily on providing educational opportunities relating to emerging financial
issues in the area of specialty. Members may attend any and all forum programs that they wish. However, each member is
expected to choose one or two primary forums. Members will receive mail or fax announcements regarding forums. The forums
will be responsible for providing educational and networking opportunities for the members who choose to be part of the
specialty forum.
The educational programs are scheduled to occur on the third Friday of the month beginning in September and
extending through April of the following year. On each of these 8 program dates, two educational programs will take place.
The first program will run from 8:20am to 10:00am, and the second program will run from 10:20am to 12:00 noon.
Each educational forum is responsible for providing a minimum of four hours of programming each year. This format
is intended to provide relevant and timely programming on a variety of topics. The following pages provide more
detailed information on each of the specialty forums. Please contact the forum chair listed to be included on the
appropriate mailing list(s). The cost to attend forum events will be lower than previous "traditional" HFMA education
